A warm welcome awaits you
Staying at Avonlea Guest House was a treat! Sian, the hostess, not only greeted us warmly but also left delightful homemade flapjacks in our room. Breakfast was made to order with top-quality ingredients, and the comfortable bed ensured a restful sleep.
My only minor issue was that the bathroom felt a bit compact for maneuvering, especially when getting ready. However, it didn't derail my overall experience.

Walked into a warm welcome from Sian, who made this feel like home right away. The room was so spotless, couldn’t ask for more, and that breakfast? Wow, the cooked eggs just hit the spot! Left with a full belly and a smile!

The stay was perfect for a weekend getaway. I especially enjoyed the high-quality breakfast that catered to my preferences, served fresh every morning. The location made it easy to explore the town center and there were several great restaurants just a quick walk away. Additionally, I appreciated the homemade flapjacks left in our room, adding a lovely touch to our visit.

The 'delicious cooked breakfast' was definitely not worth the bed being as hard as a rock. Also, I was utterly appalled to find no complimentary biscuits in the room. I could've accepted that if someone had at least offered to carry my bag up those incredibly steep stairs. Almost gave a good review, but I just couldn’t.

Had a fantastic time with friends! The room was clean and comfy, and the breakfast was memorable, especially the homemade lemon curd and tasty flapjacks we got for the road. We were able to explore nearby attractions like Oxford and the Cotswolds. The location is great, with parking available and everything within walking distance.
One drawback was that the bathroom was a bit small for our liking, especially when getting ready with multiple people.
